From: Mel Byron < Mel.Byron@basel.harrier.ch > Date: Tue 26 Jun 2001 00:55:56 +0200 Subject: Hasher Splashers August 1st Hi again HHHers! after positive reactions from several participants in last year's event, the HHH will again be entering a crew at the August 1st. dragon boat races! Perhaps this time the organisers will get our name right - last year we were in the start list as the 'Hasher Spakers'... The race regulations have changed - it is now an entirely 'fun' regatta, with no elite crews taking part. The racing should be much closer, as the number of active DBers or canoeists per boat is now limited to 3. Who knows - if we can get good attendance at the pre-race training sessions, we could be quite c*mpetitive! So, please email me if you would like to paddle with the Hasher Splashers! Also, let me know if you would like seats at the HHH tables at the DB club's July 31st. party. For those new to Basel: we will have the same 2 tables (20 seats) as last year, directly at the waterfront underneath the Grossbasel side of the Wettsteinbrücke. This is a good place to watch the swissies blow an impressive number of million francs on fireworks to celebrate federation day! On On Mad Max. |
