WEDNESDAY, September 13, 2000 - Mies, Vaud - <<The Once In a Blue Moon>> Run
=============================================================================
* HARES will be Denby "BodyLanguage" Misurelli ( denby.misurelli@wto.org ) and Martin "SexPosure" Shaw ( martin.shaw@itu.int )
* MEET at 6:45 for 7 p.m. sharp circle at schoolhouse in Mies
* ON-ON chez BodyLanguage (37 rue du Village, Mies)
DIRECTIONS:
By car:
FRom Geneva, take Rue de Lausanne (turns into lake road, Rue du Lac)
out of Geneva towards Versoix/Lausanne. Continue straight, all the way to
and through Versoix. Upon leaving Versoix centre, pass 2 traffic lights,
then reaching the Mies roundabout. Take the left turn off the Mies
roundabout, direction Mies/St.Cergue/Divonne. Go up the hill and take
the second left, immediately after the old school, now the Mairie. Road
has signs marked "Polo" and "Veytay". Proceed about 1/8 mile to the
new school on right, parking on left (also the firehouse).
FRom Autoroute, take exit "Divonne/Coppet", direction Coppet.
Continue straight on this road, past the turns to Founex, Commungny,
and Tanney; to Mies. In Mies, after the sharp 90 degree turn on the
main road at the PTT, take the next main road to the right,
signposted "Polo" and "Veytay". Then follow directions above.
Public transport, bus or train:
Take V bus from Cornavin at 18:25 (also at Nations, 18:31) to last stop -
Mies (stops at roundabout mentioned above); walk (run) up the hill and
follow directions above.
Local train, two options--Track 6 leaving Geneva (Cornavin) at 18:20, to
Coppet, change trains (back-track) to Mies. Train arrives Coppet 18:34,
other one departs direction Geneve (Mies) 18:48, arrives Mies 18:51
(station is partway up the hill mentioned above). Second option, on track
1 leaving Geneva (Cornavin) at 18:53, stops at Mies at 19:08; you are 8
minutes late so run up the hill to the start of the hash, and hope the
pack has not left without you! You'll get a down-down for being late.
NOTE FROM THE HARES: As this week's hash coincides with a full
moon and as this conjunction of two such cosmic events happens very
rarely, the hares thought it would be fun to make it a "Once in a Blue
Moon" run. Hashers should arrive suitably attired in their best BLUE
OUTFITS (royal, turquoise, navy, cotswold, azure or even sky blue
with pink spots!!). Down-downs for non-compliance!
