Eindhoven HHH Mid-Winter Run & Party
Saturday 24 January 1998

The Eindhoven Hash House Harriers is the hash chapter which organised the Grand
Bru Hash for many years until age, insanity, rheumatism and osteoperosis forced
the retirement of the committee a few years ago.  Outside of the Grand Bru Hash
they also organised the yearly Mid Winter run. The next generation of EHHH
hashers (all 2 of them) has initiated a rebirth of the Mid Winter run with the
aid of The Hague midwifes Pubic Keys and Neptunes.

The previous Mid-Winter runs have been a great success according to those who
remembered. The bus transport from and to The Hague has not been a luxury and
surprisingly we had to find a new bus company every year. The runs have always
been good as this is superb running country. This year's run will be in the
area known as the "LEENDER HEIDE" which is south of Eindhoven and is well
suited for hashing and includes wooded areas, farmland and heidevelden
(heather). There will be a Bulls and Chicken 1-2 hours

What, where and when?:
Date: 		Saturday 24 January, 1998 Time: 14:30 SHARP
Location: 	Hut van Mien Pils, Eindhoven
Directions:     From Eindhoven follow the A2 direction Venlo/Maastricht. This
        	is the ring- road around Eindhoven. Take exit number 33
        	direction Waalre/Valkenswaard.  At the traffic lights turn
        	right (this is the Eindhovenseweg/N69 - truly; no joke). At the
        	second set of traffic lights (Restaurant d'n Drossaard) turn
        	left into Brabantialaan, which is a winding road. After 1 km
        	turn right into the Maximilaan. After 200 meters turn left onto
        	the sandy road.  At the end of the road is the HUT VAN MIEN
        	PILS.
        	For people coming from The Hague a bus will be arranged. Cost
of the return fare is Hfl. 40 per head, however might be revised later after
numbers are firmed up.

On-On:  The On-On is at the Hut van Mien Pils. This is an isolated pub in the
        middle of nowhere and they are used to hashers. They have an excellent
        selection of beers. Price: Hfl. 25 which includes a simple meal plus 4
        beers and down down beer, music & dance.
