All:

This invites you to an extreme hashing experience - worse than hash concepts,
warm beer, or sports.

The crowd of mentally distorted hashers that you might consider to be part of
will leave the Adriatic coast in the center of Pescara on Friday night, May 15,
1998, at 6 p.m., with a bus full of beer and at least ONE PERSON RUNNING,
direction Rome. There will be flour somewhere, but we have not yet figured out
where.

Running will be done in terms (of at least 30 min I should say - tbd). The
distance is around 240 km. An average speed of 5 km per 30 min would take us to
Rome in 24 hours. We have to get up to almost 1200 m, though, which means it
won't be easy to keep that pace. To be in Rome early enough for a PARTY on
SATURDAY NIGHT we have to leave Pescara at a reasonable time.

Current plan is that the bus takes the Adriatic H3 and who ever is interested
back from Rome to Pescara on Sunday. I expect costs to be around 100.000 Lire
per person, for bus, beer, and hash food, but this is not an official quote and
depends on numbers. Of course we will think about a T-shirt.

At this point in time I'd like to figure out general interest. Maximum number of
people is a bus load (ca. 50). We will soon have a love-in with the Romans to
figure out what the hash bed situation is. I'll soon come back with an update.

Please send me a message indicating your interest or disgust. The news has
already traveled through Italy once. Rome and Naples will send gladiators.
Tonedeaf (Milan-spit) answered "ok" whatever that means. But also for the rest
of the world, May should be the right time for a Roman holiday. Starting in
Pescara.

How to get there / travel recommendations.

You can come by car and get back to Pescara on Sunday. However, it is probably
much more convenient to take public transport.

FRom the North:
1. Take the train via Milan/Bologna and go back from Rome.
2. Fly via/from Milan (Air One). You arrive at 9:30 p.m. in Pescara. Too late
for the run - need to be Thursday, spend Friday on the beach, hash beds no
   problem. Fly back from Rome.
3. Fly to Rome and take bus to Pescara
4. Drive to Rome and take bus to Pescara.

FRom Naples:
Take the train to Pescara. Go back from Rome.

FRom Rome:
Take the bus from Tiburtina station at around 2:00 p.m.

FRom Guang Zhou:
Follow your instincts until you identify the smell of the place. Then let go and
turn left. Pescara is right behind the corner.

FRom Verona:
Well, that's a tough one. Try to pass the Cobas at Vicenza, turn right at the
Villa Rotonda, and go with the Po.

FRom Massa:
Look up the Pescara Porsche dealer's address and make an appointment

FRom Oregon:
Take the O-train

FRom London:
Take Air One to Pescara (boring, boring...)

FRom Canberra:
Don't come the raw prawn and av-a-go-ya-mug!

FRom Switzerland:
Lick it

FRom Paris:
Naaaaa, nanaananaananaaaa, nanaananaananaaaaa, nanaananaananaaaaaanaaaaaaaaaa

Where'd this all start?
