Bill Panton was with him collecting information for Hash Geneology. Mike is still active with Interhash '98 as there are many other hashers in KL. I am not sure how active Mike is on Internet. He did indicate he had a problem with his personal computer which when resolved gave him a back log of a hundred or so messages. He did indicate KL Interhash '98 were trying to resolve some issues related to the service provider for the KL home page which was to also contain information from the official Travel agent SA tours. The page seems to have died totally now. There is an office for Interhash '98 Phone +603 242 9783, +603 242 9798, Fax +603 242 9796 as per Interhash Flyer #1. There is no official email address for Interhash '98. Personal experience suggests there is a back log of sending out the actual registration numbers but the fliers #1 and the information from SA Tours which gives all the details of how to book accommodation appears to have been sent out to all who forwarded their registrations. Twenty registrations sent in December 96 by me have not been acknowledged but all those included have recieved directly personal copies of Flier #1 and material form SA Tours detailing Accommodation options and Pre and Post Tour Option and details of MAS Airfare offers. All are obviously registered on some sort of system in KL and being processed. Malaysia Airlines Systems within Australia are now making contact directly about booking for Interhash Convention. This mailing list must have been initiated by the KL Interhash Organisers. The reality of dealing with thousands of registrations with a volunteer work force as Hashing events are must be a real problem in KL. There is no doubt The Hashes of Klang Valley will deliver. It will be the biggest hashing event ever, could be as many as 6000. Be patient. It is over a year away yet and the folks in KL are doing their best. Lets worry about the important issues like the smoke from Sumatra that is a major threat to basic survival in Malaysia and the cost of beer when drinking in a bar in KL. ON! ON!
